Dear Parents and Guardians,
Well, the time has come to move to our e-learning plans. Thank you for your support over the weekend as we have come to this point. I especially want to thank those parents involved in the world of medicine who offered helpful advice for the safety of our community.
Highland Catholic School will be closed starting tomorrow, Monday, March 16th. The current plan keeps us closed through March 27th. That could change. Our e-learning Plan will be launched on Wednesday. You will receive an email from teachers and the entire plan will be available on Google. We hope to support learning at home.
-Teachers and Tech Support will be available starting on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. every school day we are closed. Do not hesitate to reach out.
Things to note:
-Parents/Guardians of students in Grades 4-6 are invited to pick up ipad devices during the day on Monday, the 16th. We will have a staggered pick up:

*If you need to come outside of your time, we understand.
-Parents/Guardians for students in Grades K-3, we have a limited number of ipad devices available for your to sign out for the closure. Please “reply,” to email@example.com
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need to pick up medication, inhalers, etc. from the Health Office.
This is a critical time to be generous to our local food shelves.
-Health Care Workers
Please be aware and supportive of our parents/guardians who are on the front line of the response. This community excels at helping each other.
I know there are a million more things to put in front of you.
These are challenging times. Let us continue to hold each other up in prayer.
Don’t hesitate to send me reminders or suggestions. I already miss the kids and hopefully we can have our resident bagpiper, 8th grader Will Barth, on the front steps of school welcoming us back in the future.
I am grateful for our Tech Team and all of the faculty who have prepared us for this closure. I still find it very hard to believe.
